Having worked for both public agencies, and private planning and engineering firms, Melissa adds a well rounded perspective to planning at Wood Rodgers. With 30 years of professional experience in land use planning, development, property acquisition, federal grant administration, and community development, she is able to work well with engineers, surveyors, land owners, developers, attorneys, appraisers, and public agency staff members, as well as appointed and elected officials. She is skilled in the areas of business development, project negotiation, issue resolution, governmental agency coordination and public hearing presentations.
Melissa has lived in Reno, Nevada for over 25 years and is well known in the community. Over the years, she has worked on many large scale, complicated and controversial projects including master planned communities, hospital and medical facilities, commercial and industrial developments, single family subdivisions and multi-family projects. She has a solid understanding of the planning, engineering and surveying business, and as a result, is respected and well liked by clients.
Melissa is married with three children. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, water and snow skiing, sailing, horseback riding, and traveling.
