Gerardo has over 30 years of experience and owned and operated Integrated Design Group (IDG) Structural Engineering before merging with Wood Rodgers in 2007.Gerardo specializes in providing fast-track “responsive structural design” services tailored to the requirements specific to public and private design-build work. He has developed detailed structural systems incorporating pre-fabricated bolted framing systems that minimize field welding and shorten construction erection. Gerardo has also developed designs for highly perforated concrete tilt-up panels that incorporate detailing to minimize the coordination requirements between building trades, many of which have received awards from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, McGraw Hill California Construction, Sacramento Business Journal, and the American Concrete Institute.Gerardo’s expertise ranges from high-rise office buildings, wastewater treatment plants, drainage pump stations, bridges, commercial structures, warehouses, schools, churches, industrial structures, and special structures.In his spare time, Gerardo enjoys spending time with his family.
