Setback Levee Design

Levee District No. 1 of Sutter County

Wood Rodgers prepared a feasibility study and final design for a 3,300-foot setback levee at Star Bend on the Feather River. The study included alternative alignment analyses, CEQA documentation, hydraulic investigations, hydraulic modeling, geotechnical investigations, 30 percent level plans and specifications, and an opinion of probable cost. Project design and approvals required routine coordination with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB), Department of Water Resources (DWR), affected landowners, the Yuba-Feather Work Group, local cost sharing partners, and regulatory resource agencies.
