Lower Butte Sink Water Control Structures

To improve the passage of salmon and steelhead through the Butte Sink, as well as enhance water diversions for Ducks Unlimited, Wood Rodgers staff planned, designed, and administered construction management for three hydraulic structures on the RD833 Drain, Field and Tule Canal, and Mile Canal. The Morton Weir incorporates two 20-foot Obermeyer pneumatically-operated spillway gates and a vertical slot fish ladder. The Field and Tule Canal structure incorporates a 16-foot Obermeyer pneumatically-operated spillway gate.
